Verticent Announces General Availability of Release 10.5 of the Verticent ERP Suite

TAMPA, FL – Verticent, Inc., a vertically centric developer of enterprise software solutions for metal service centers, metal fabricators and its other targeted industries, announced the general availability of Verticent ERP Release 10.5.  This release incorporates new functionality to handle the processing of most shapes of material.  In addition, Release 10.5 runs on SQL Server 2008 and Windows Server 2008 from Microsoft, and includes performance improvements throughout.

Release 10.5 includes features such as MRP by facility which significantly improves inventory management over basic min/max programs, quick quoting which enables sales teams to take a quote with the customer on the phone, capable to promise which computes a delivery date based on material and machine availability, retail counter sales with credit card processing and cash drawer, radio frequency bar code data collection and multi-language capability.

In addition to the features mentioned above, Verticent ERP Release 10.5 includes enhancements that focus on operational efficiency improvements including nesting and cutting layout for special shapes; an enhancement that will increase the efficiency of those companies operating burning tables.  Also, Release 10.5 contains several enhancements to scheduling, sequencing and reporting production of slit coils.  In the area of logistics, Release 10.5 has truck loading and transportation sequencing with a variety of flexible parameters to optimize freight and delivery routes.
